Update

     So it's been a little while since my last post, so I figured now would be a great time to update on what's been going on instead of doing my research assignment (clearly I haven't changed that much but hey I should get some props for consistency lol). So first thing to update you on is my externship journey. I had my interview with Montefiore Medical Center and my commute there was longer than the actual inteview. The recruiter literally had typed up questions to ask me and typed my answers as we went along so sometimes there was the dreaded awkward silence and the click-clack of her nails pressing against the keyboard as she typed my answers. She then gave me the opportunity to ask her questions and I asked 2 questions and that was the interview. She also told me that I would hear back from her at the end of April/beginning of May. So in all the interview was maybe 15-20 minutes tops. I mean I didn't feel like I did bad but I guess time will tell. This past Friday I had received a call from a hospital in the North Shore LIJ Health System which I was extremely excited about. I have an interview on Wednesday with them so hopefully all goes well! I would love to get this one since it is on Long Island and much closer to me than the other hospital which took me almost 2 hours to get there on public transportation as opposed to the 30 minutes it will take me to get to this Long Island hospital. For now I am going to pray and keep my fingers crossed and hope that I beast this interview so that I can get this externship. Besides that, I don't really have much exciting news. Spring break knocked out any and all of the productivity that was buried deep within me, so I have been trying to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully I get some good news soon but until then I have to find something else to distract me. Hey what can I say, I'm a work in progress...
